Project Characteristics and Objectives
A “bottom-up” approach characterizes the project system implementation; it starts from graduates and universities, for modernizing and developing the higher education sector within society, enlarging the relations between universities and business world, in order to improve the quality of the higher education system and to enhance graduates’ employability. Current information in Albania are in fact rather scattered for a continuos and effective monitoring on the training system, the labor market, and the link between them, and to forecast skills requirements of the labor market needs. The project will thus support Albanian Universities by establishing an integrated demand supply matching model based on the graduates’ database (on the model developed in Italy) through:
- collection and analysis of data on graduates performances and universities, issuing reliable, continuous and updated documentation for assessing the HE system at support of the ongoing reform process;
- facilitation of the cooperation between higher education institutions and business world (IT based online services are developed and made available to both graduates, and university staff and firms);
- facilitation of the placement of graduates in the labour market
